Nationwide Household Energy Consumption Survey

Resync is proud to announce that we have been awarded a project by the National Environment Agency (NEA) along with OneBerry Technologies to carry out the Singapore Household Energy Consumption Survey (SHECS) from January to September 2023 across 600 Singapore households. The survey seeks to understand energy consumption patterns and study emerging energy demands across various household types and sizes.

NEA last conducted the survey in 2017 and the findings from the survey facilitated the enhancement of NEA’s Mandatory Energy Labelling Scheme (MELS). As a leading provider of intelligent energy management solutions, Resync is committed to helping households and businesses reduce their energy consumption and save money on energy bills. By partnering with NEA, we hope to gain a deeper understanding of the energy challenges facing households and identify opportunities to mitigate climate change and drive more significant energy savings.

For this survey, Resync will deploy Smart Meters which will provide households with their detailed energy usage, thereby empowering them with the knowledge and information they need to make informed decisions to reduce their household energy consumption and carbon footprint.

Households will be able to track their energy consumption at an appliance level in real time via Resync’s Smart Home mobile app. The survey will also require households to answer simple questions that serve to uncover the behavioural and socio-economic factors relating to household energy consumption.

All participants will receive shopping vouchers as a token of appreciation and also be entitled to a chance in the Lucky Draw to win an iPad! Households will also be provided with a detailed report highlighting information about the total energy and appliance usage trends and analytics.

We encourage all Singaporean households to participate in this important survey and help shape the future of energy management in this country. To sign up, visit www.greenhome.sg.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to sharing the results of the survey with you!
